Now take a look at some of your personality characteristics:

I change to fit my environment.
I need to have complete control, at least over some part of my environment.
I go with the flow. People can do what they like. I stay the same.

I worry a lot. Sometimes I'm fearful. Usually I don't get mad, because I'm more worried that I've done something wrong.
I lose my temper, especially when things aren't fair or don't go my way.

Taste and smell.

Now take a look at your environment:

My room at home is messy, with piles of things and many unfinished projects.
My room is neat and beautifully decorated.
My room is comfortably full of things.

All my spices are on the kitchen counter, at hand. I keep what I need out in the open so I can put my hands on it as soon as I need it.
Everything in my kitchen is neatly put away, the counters are bare except when I'm cooking.
There are stacks of magazines, piles of coupons, cookbooks. I have to clear a spot to cook in.

My junk drawer is right next to the telephone. I keep all my important things there and stuff I don't want to lose.
What's a junk drawer?
Just one junk drawer? And why would you call it junk? I've got rooms full of useful things I might need someday. Not to mention a pantry full of food.

I hate to admit this, but we don't have matching towels. Stuff on the linen closet shelves is all mixed up.
The color-coordinated sheets are neatly stacked in my linen closet. My matching towels are folded in thirds, with the big middle fold facing out.
I've got collections of antique linens from both sides of the family shoved in the linen closet. The clean stuff we use everyday is in laundry baskets. The dirty towls are on the floor.

I like cats and furry cuddly creatures. Birds are OK too.
Pets are too messy. If I have a dog, it's a working dog that I've trained to obey me, and I keep it outside in a kennel. A well-maintained aquarium is soothing and beautiful.
I'd love to have a big dog and let him sleep in my bed at night. People bring me strays and wounded creatures because they know I will take care of them.

Imagine that your kid(s) move(s) away. What do you do with the empty room(s)?
I think about all the neat things I could do with it, but right now that room is slowly filling up with laundry baskets full of things that were on the dining room table before company came.
I'd redecorate it and turn it into my painting studio. The futon unfolds into a bed for Junior when (s)he comes home on vacation.
My friend would need a place to stay so it wouldn't really be empty. OR...It's an ideal place to put my National Geographic collection and my historic lawn ornament collection.

Now take a look at your behavior in different situations:

I like to dance at parties but I worry no one will ask me. I'm shy to ask anyone myself.
I love it when people gather around to listen to me talk.
At a party just let me sit down next to the food and enjoy myself.

Sometimes I'm really into sex but usually I don't see what the big deal is.
I'm pretty romantic and have a strong sex drive.
I love sex, as long as it comes to me.

I'm great at cramming for tests but I don't remember much the next week.
I outline the important material we've covered so I know how to ace the test.
I wish the teacher would just give me more time.

I feel happy when it starts to warm up in the spring. I get too cold in the winter.
If it weren't for airconditioning I couldn't stand the hot, humid summers.
Just let me lay out in the sun all summer long.

I'm good at sprints, but can't do marathons. When I was a kid I worried that no one would choose me to be on their team.
I have to win.
If somebody will get me out of bed, I'm a great football player. I always feel better when I get lots of exercise.

I get excited about all different kinds of new exercise but don't keep at it.
I enjoy competitive team sports, swimming and winter sports.
I don't like exercise until I get started. I feel better if I run several miles every day and do some weight training.

I often have falling or flying dreams. Sometimes nightmares wake me up and I feel afraid afterwards.
I dream in vivid color about violence, volcanoes, fire.
My dreams often include water, romance, sensual experiences. They are usually pleasant and I often remember them.

How do you remember where you left your keys"
I have to walk through the house and lay my hands on them.
I can picture where I left them in my mind.
They are where I always leave them. I never forget.
